Peec AI alternatives worth comparing

Peec AI is a solid tracker, but it is not the only one. Here are six alternatives, what each does well, and who should pick which.

Peec AI tracks how AI platforms talk about your brand. Many teams are happy with it. Others start looking at alternatives for a few plain reasons: they need more platforms, they want a different pricing shape, or they need data in a tool Peec does not feed.

This guide covers six alternatives. Pineprompt is ours, so we cover it first and say where it is not the right pick. Every competitor fact below comes from our own comparison pages, reviewed in 2026. Features change, so check the vendor before you buy.

Why people look past Peec AI

Peec is a funded, established vendor. It includes unlimited seats on every plan. Its MCP server connects Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and more, and it runs formal agency, creator and media partner programs. That is a strong base.

The common friction points are narrower:

  • Platform add-ons. Peec's base plan covers three platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Claude and the other platforms are billed individually on top.
  • Country and language scope. Peec offers one to three, depending on tier.
  • Surface area. Peec has agency pitch workspaces and regional benchmarks. If you want a tracker and nothing around it, that can be more than you need.

If none of these bother you, stay. Switching has a cost.

Pineprompt

Pineprompt tracks eight engines on every plan: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Grok and Copilot. They refresh daily. There are no per-platform add-ons.

For each answer it records mentions, position, sentiment, citations and competitors, and it rolls these up into share of voice. You set country and language per monitor.

Data access is the other draw. The MCP server is on every plan. The REST API and Looker Studio connector are on Professional and Business. Both Pineprompt and Peec ship an MCP server and an API, so this is not a gap in kind. The difference is that Pineprompt's platform list is not itemized.

The methodology is published at /methodology, including refresh, sources and limits. You can look at real output on a sample brand in the public demo. There is no free trial, so the demo is the way to see it before you pay. For prices, see /pricing.

Pick Pineprompt if you want every platform from day one and a tracker without extras. Pick something else if you need unlimited seats for a large agency team, or a vendor with a long reference list. The full side-by-side is on Pineprompt vs Peec.ai.

Otterly

Otterly is the lighter-entry option. Its base plans select four platforms, and Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons. It names six platforms in total, and it does not cover Claude or Grok.

What it does well: a native one-click Looker Studio connector, and coverage of 50+ countries and languages. Citations are refreshed weekly, while prompts are daily.

It has no public API.

Pick Otterly if you want a lighter tier to test your category and a native Looker Studio connector, and you do not need Claude or Grok. See Pineprompt vs Otterly.

AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ is built around connectors and a copilot. It offers GA4, Search Console, Shopify, Webflow and Framer connections out of the box, an agentic copilot and a citation-probability model. Its Self-Serve plan covers eight platforms, with more on request.

The trade-offs are in how it is metered. Usage is credit-based: one credit is one response. The API sits at the Enterprise tier. Daily refresh is an Enterprise feature, and cadence is slower below that. Multi-region support is Enterprise too, with a single country otherwise.

Pick AthenaHQ if native connectors matter more than a simple plan, and you are comfortable with credit-metered usage. See Pineprompt vs AthenaHQ.

Promptwatch

Promptwatch is the wider tool. One subscription also watches AI crawler logs and AI-referred visitors, and it writes articles for you. It lists nine platforms, including DeepSeek, which Pineprompt does not track. Location targeting goes to country, with state and city on higher tiers.

Its refresh is daily on the Essential plan. Above that, "real-time" is not specified. It does not publish a methodology.

Pick Promptwatch if you want tracking, crawler analysis and content writing in one product. Pick a focused tracker if you already have tools for the other jobs. See Pineprompt vs Promptwatch.

Scrunch

Scrunch goes beyond monitoring. It adds site audits, page optimizations, AI agent traffic analysis and agent-optimized pages (AXP). It lists four platforms on its core plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Looker Studio, API and MCP access are listed on the Enterprise plan. It offers a free trial and Slack support at the enterprise level.

Pick Scrunch if you want optimization work in the same product and your target platforms fit its list. Pineprompt is monitoring only. See Pineprompt vs Scrunch.

Rankscale

Rankscale uses a credit-based plan with Essentials, Pro, Growth and Enterprise tiers. It lists 17+ engines on every plan, well beyond Pineprompt's eight. It also adds page audits, shopping visibility and query fanouts.

Its REST API is listed at Enterprise, and MCP and Data Studio pages exist. Trial terms are not stated on the pages we checked.

Pick Rankscale if you want the longest engine list and extras around the tracking. See Pineprompt vs Rankscale.

Goodie

Goodie bundles optimization actions, a content studio, agentic commerce tools, and analytics and attribution. Its Core plan lists five core models. Higher plans go up to 13 platforms. Enterprise is by demo. It offers a 7-day free trial on Core.

Pick Goodie if you want to act on the data inside the same product and like to try before buying. See Pineprompt vs Goodie.

How to choose

Start with the job.

  1. Only tracking, every engine, simple plan: Pineprompt.
  2. Large agency team, unlimited seats: stay with Peec.
  3. Lighter entry and a Looker Studio connector: Otterly.
  4. Native connectors and a copilot: AthenaHQ.
  5. Tracking plus crawler logs and writing: Promptwatch.
  6. Optimization in the same product: Scrunch or Goodie.
  7. The longest engine list: Rankscale.

Then check three things on any shortlist:

  • Platforms you need. List the engines your buyers use. Check which are in the base plan and which are add-ons.
  • Where the data goes. Look at API, MCP and Looker Studio access, and which tier they sit on.
  • How it is measured. Ask for the methodology. Refresh rate, sources and limits should be written down.

Switching from Peec

Moving takes about an afternoon. Export your tracked prompts from Peec as a CSV. Create a project in Pineprompt and register your brand, competitors, country and language. Paste the prompts in, or script the import through the API on Professional and Business. Enable the platforms you want. Then run both tools in parallel for a week and confirm the numbers line up.
