AthenaHQ and Peec AI both track brand visibility in AI answers, but they differ in how plans handle models, prompts and data access. Here is how to choose.

AthenaHQ and Peec AI both measure how your brand appears in answers from AI engines. They suit similar buyers, but they make different choices about which models a plan covers and how prompts are counted. If you are also weighing other tools, see our comparison of AthenaHQ vs Otterly.

This comparison draws on each vendor's public pricing page as we read it on 26 October 2026, plus our own compare pages. Vendors change their products often, so confirm details with them before you buy. We have left out competitor prices on purpose, because they change and are best read on each vendor's own pricing page.

The two tools in brief

AthenaHQ lists a free Essential plan, a Starter plan and a custom Enterprise plan. Usage is measured in credits, where one credit equals one AI response.

Peec AI lists Starter, Pro and Advanced plans, plus a custom Enterprise plan billed annually. Plans are sized by prompts and projects, and every plan includes unlimited users. Peec AI offers a free trial.

Model coverage

AthenaHQ Essential lists five engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot. Starter lists visibility across 11 models, adding AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. The page also says additional models are available on request.

Peec AI Starter, Pro and Advanced each include three models of your choice, picked from options such as ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini. Extra models can be added as paid add-ons. Claude appears in the model list for the Enterprise plan, which the page describes as covering up to 13 models.

Prompts and plan structure

AthenaHQ Starter lists unlimited topics, prompts and competitors, with the limit set by the credits included each month. Extra credits are available as a paid add-on.

Peec AI sets a prompt count on each plan, and its FAQ explains that pricing follows the number of tracked prompts and the models analysed. Prompts can be shared across projects and brands within an account.

Data access and reporting

AthenaHQ Starter includes CSV export. API access is listed as a paid add-on on Starter, and it is included on Enterprise. The Enterprise plan also lists an executive dashboard with BI tool support, including Looker.

Peec AI lists API access on its Enterprise plan and a Looker Studio integration starting on the Advanced plan. Its feature list also shows custom CSV exports and MCP under data access.

Free options and locations

AthenaHQ offers a free Essential plan with an included allotment of credits, so you can try the product without a paid plan. Starter lists country-level support.

Peec AI offers a free trial. Its FAQ states you can track queries across any supported country or language at no additional cost.

Which should you choose?

Consider AthenaHQ if you want broad model coverage on its Starter plan and a free tier to begin with. Consider Peec AI if you prefer fixed prompt allowances, a simple choice of three models and Looker Studio on a self-serve plan. In both cases, list the engines your buyers use and check them against the plan you are considering.

Where Pineprompt fits

Pineprompt is a third option focused on monitoring. It tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot daily on every plan. MCP access is included on all plans, and the API and Looker Studio connection are available on Professional and Business. Pineprompt does not offer a free trial.
