SE Visible vs Promptwatch

Allan de Wit · · 4 min read

SE Visible and Promptwatch both monitor brands in AI answers, but one is a focused tracker from the SE Ranking team and the other adds content and crawler tools. Here is how to choose.

SE Visible and Promptwatch both show how often your brand appears in AI answers, but they cover different amounts of ground. SE Visible, built by the SE Ranking team, is centred on tracking: visibility, sentiment, competitors, prompts and cited sources. Promptwatch describes itself as a platform to monitor, rank and grow your brand in AI search, and adds content agents, AI crawler logs and a built-in agent on top of tracking.

This comparison draws on each vendor's public website as we read it on 23 October 2026. Vendors change their products often, so confirm details with them before you buy. We have left out prices on purpose, because they change and are best read on each vendor's own pricing page.

The two tools in brief

SE Visible is an AI visibility tool that tracks brand mentions, visibility, sentiment, competitors, prompts, topics and cited sources. You can filter by date, topic and AI engine, manage multiple brands and clients, and export CSV reports. Its site says collaboration is open to unlimited users.

Promptwatch tracks real user prompts, visibility score and share of voice across AI platforms. It goes further with content agents that create and refresh pages from citation gaps, crawler logs that show which AI agents visit your site, and a fact-check feature that compares what AI says about you with your own knowledge base. Its homepage says more than 1,780 brands and agencies use it.

AI platforms covered

SE Visible's site lists ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, and says Claude will be added soon.

Promptwatch's homepage shows ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and DeepSeek among the models it tracks, and says every plan includes all models. If Claude or Perplexity matters to you today, Promptwatch lists them and SE Visible does not.

Locations and languages

SE Visible lists the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain as supported locations.

Promptwatch says you can run prompts from any country, in any language and down to city level. State and city tracking is available from its Business plan.

Refresh and data

SE Visible says it updates tracked prompts daily across the AI platforms. We did not find a refresh frequency stated on Promptwatch's homepage, so confirm it with the vendor.

Beyond tracking

Promptwatch is the broader product. Its content writing agents are available from the Professional plan, it offers crawler logs, and it lists integrations with Cloudflare, Vercel, WordPress, Webflow and Framer. Its homepage also describes tracking of ChatGPT shopping results and ads.

SE Visible stays closer to analysis. Its feature pages cover an AI visibility tracker, query fan-out analysis, local AI visibility, brand sentiment, sources analysis, prompt analysis and competitor analysis. If you already use SE Ranking, the shared brand may make it a familiar place to start.

Integrations and data access

SE Visible has an API that covers project, brand, competitor, prompt and topic management, retrieval of AI prompt results and metrics, and analysis of cited domains and URLs. We did not find an MCP server or named third-party integrations on its site.

Promptwatch lists an API, an MCP server that connects to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and a Data Studio integration. The API and MCP are on all plans.

Trials

Both vendors offer a free trial. SE Visible's site advertises a 10-day free trial, and Promptwatch's pages carry a Start Free Trial button alongside a demo option.

Which to pick

  • You want a focused tracker from a known SEO vendor: SE Visible.
  • You want content creation and AI crawler logs in the same product: Promptwatch.
  • You need Claude or Perplexity tracked now: Promptwatch lists both; SE Visible lists Claude as coming.
  • You track brands in the countries SE Visible lists: either tool works. For other countries or city-level tracking, Promptwatch is the one that lists them.
  • You want to connect results to AI assistants over MCP: Promptwatch lists an MCP server on all plans.

Where Pineprompt fits

Pineprompt is a tracker and nothing else. It runs your tracked prompts daily and reports mentions and position, sentiment, cited sources, competitors and share of voice. It covers six live AI platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot. Grok and Perplexity are listed but temporarily unavailable. Each monitor covers one country and one language. The MCP server is on every plan, and the API and Looker Studio connector are on Professional and Business. There is no free trial.

That puts it closer to SE Visible in scope than to Promptwatch. It is a poor fit if you want content generation or crawler logs, because it does neither. For a side-by-side, see Pineprompt vs SE Visible and Pineprompt vs Promptwatch, read the pricing page, or get started.
